TEAM FALKEN COMES ON STRONG WITH VICTORY AT LS FEST AND THIRD PLACE IN LUCAS OFF-ROAD REGIONAL PRO LITE
RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CA – Falken-sponsored Ultra4 Class 4500 team GenRight Off Road and driver Jordan Pellegrino continued their winning ways, taking top honors in the Limited Buggy Category of the Xtreme Off-Road Challenge at the recent Holley-sponsored LS West Fest held at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
Pellegrino ran on Falken WILDPEAK M/Ts, and set the bar high early, earning top qualifying times and then sweeping all three of his rounds, coming out victorious in his GenRight-built, LS-powered chassis.
The event was prescribed as a “celebration of everything and anything powered by the GM LS engine,” noted the organizers, and drew more than 1,000 entries competing in a variety of motorsports competitions, from drag racing to drifting and off-road to road racing.
“This is just a precursor to the kind of performance we’ll see Jordan, Falken and the entire GenRight team do throughout the off-road season,” declared John Linen, Falken’s new Supervisor for Light Truck & Events. “Our racing activities are getting ready to hit high gear right now and our WILDPEAKs are set for prime position.”
Added Pellegrino: “We had some electrical issues early on that we were able to sort out, and then it was a good day. After my last run, I was told by a lot of fans that it was the best race the crowd got to watch all day. I’m proud of that and can’t thank my sponsors enough for the support. I try to return the favor with a victory, and I’m glad I was able to do that for Falken.”
Falken and Pellegrino next run at the Ultra4 Stampede in Rancho Cordova, CA, near Sacramento, June 9th.
Meanwhile, at Lake Elsinore, CA, Motorsports Park, Brenthel Industries, builders of world-class off-road trucks and buggies, and driver Jordan Brenthel finished third in last weekend’s Lucas Oil Off Road Regional Pro Lite Open V8 Class.
Brenthel is a relative newcomer to the Pro Lite arena, having concentrated on desert racing for the past five years. Nevertheless, his years of off-road experience paid off handsomely as he claimed third in his family-built truck, running Falken WILDPEAK M/T tires.
Brenthel expects to move up the podium when he returns to Lake Elsinore for Rounds 5 and 6 on June 10-11.
