FALKEN TEAMS UP WITH SCCA FOR 2017
Falken Tires Sponsors Track Nights for Second Year in a Row
RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CA – For the second year in a row, Falken Tires—a leader in ultra high-performance, light truck, all-season, and touring tires—is teaming up with the SCCA (Sports Car Club of America) as the Official Technical Partner for the 2017 SCCA Track Nights in America Driven by Tire Rack. Track Nights is an event that provides a safe, fun way for all novice-to-advanced drivers to come out and enjoy a night on a track. With over 100 events across the United States announced for the 2017 season, the SCCA is trying to make it accessible to everyone (18 and older) across the country who owns a street car, a helmet, and a driver’s license. To provide an extra bit of service for hardcore enthusiasts, Falken has also continued its Title Sponsorship of the Falken Fast Pass—a pass that allows holders the quickest way onto the track to maximize their on-track fun.
“We love the idea of an event series that invites people to bring their street vehicles (and helmets) to a location where they’re the stars on the track. Teaming up with the SCCA isn’t just a great way to show how well the new Falken AZENIS RT615K+ tires work, it also provides us with a lot of valuable feedback that allow us to tailor our tires to perform the way our consumers want. This is the second year in a row we’ve sponsored SCCA’s Track Nights, and we look forward to the upcoming events in 2017,” noted Jonathon Bradford, Manager, Motorsports & Events.
“The most important elements of Track Night in America driven by Tire Rack are safety, a fun experience, and a chance to grow as a driver. Falken reflects that as a partner, both in their culture and in their products. The support that they provide to motorsports enthusiasts and the tire that they deliver make them an ideal partner for Track Night, and we’re happy to have them back this season.” added Heyward Wagner, Director of Experiential Programs for SCCA.
SCCA Track Nights in America events are targeted at any [driver’s] licensed enthusiast over the age of 18 who would like to come out to a closed course and experience driving their vehicle on a track. Attendees are separated into novice, intermediate, and advanced groups to ensure that everyone has a good time. Track Nights drivers using the new Falken AZENIS RT615K+ tires will find that they provide better grip allowing for faster braking and acceleration not only in corners but also on straightaways where power can sometimes overcome traction.
